Oh no! I forgot to remember the name of this group (they don't have a restaurant yet--they're working on it)! They were selling gumbo and jambalaya (and some sweets) on Telegraph at the annual holiday street fair. The woman who told me a little about them and gave me a sample when I asked how spicy the jambalaya was said that they were at How Berkeley Can You Be? too, which I didn't attend. Anyways, I got their jambalaya because I can't remember ever trying this, and I wanted to try something new.
Mmm...that bread, the sausage, and the other meat (and the rice w/ all of the flavor) were good. This didn't look like much--especially for $5.00, but then I dumped it out onto a plate, and it was plenty (you might not be able to tell, but that's a large plate).
