Uncle Chuang's Bakery - Riverside, CA

Uncle Chuang's Bakery
3740 Iowa Ave.
Riverside, CA 92507

Yay! We have an inexpensive Asian bakery near UCR now! I also heard that 85 Degrees C Bakery is coming too, but I haven't heard any updates lately, which is probably a good thing for this place. Anyway, I've tried a few things here. Here are my notes:

* Free drink (coffee or tea) with any purchase of $5 or more
* Pretty good quality and taste--especially considering the price!
* All you do is grab what you want and pay. Pretty quick.
* Love how they have multiple free samples!
* Items are about cheap! Some are just $1-3, although it depends on what you get.

I love the matcha pound cake. Slightly sweet with a clear but not overpowering matcha flavor. Just looking at it, it looks like an almond bread, but it really does taste like matcha. So good!

I can't remember the exact name of this, but it was something like "chocolate bread" or "chocolate pudding bun." Pretty good. You have to like pudding because they pack it in there!
Packed full of chocolate pudding!
